This fast 5K course begins at the top of Mt. Wilkerson in Vinings, winds around the Cumberland Mall area, and ends at the Lovett School (280-foot net drop). To view this map go to www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/77069176

5K Race/Walk: 8 a.m. on Mt. Wilkerson Parkway
1-Kilometer Fun Run: 9 a.m. at Vinings Jubilee
After the 5K you may ride the bus from the Finish Line to Vinings Jubilee for the post race party or you may choose to walk. After the awards ceremony you may ride the bus back to your car or you may walk the 1/2 mile trip. This year at 8:05a.m., two school buses will transport guest of 5k runners from the start line to Vinings Jubilee or the finish line.
BTB Crossfit Vinings (www.btbfitness.com) has agreed to sponsor the race monetarily and host the 2013 package pickup at their convenient Vinings location. Race number pick up will be Thursday August 15th and Friday August 16th from noon to 7:00 PM. Details about package pickup and the incentive gift will be emailed to all registered runners.
Race numbers can also be picked up race day starting at 7:00 am.
All t-shirts and hats will be picked up after the race at the race party at the Vinings Jubilee.
Race party and awards ceremony will be held at Vinings Jubilee - Awards for the
M/F Overall, Masters, Grandmasters and the Top 3 place awards in 14 age groups from
10yrs & younger to 70yrs & over. Runners will be electronically timed. Awards will be based on a gun time.
Top 3 Trophies for 12 & under Boys & Girls. Medal for all
participants 12 & under.
Want to support the Vinings Down Hill 5K but can't be there on race day? Register as a Phantom Runner by July 15, 2012 and we'll mail you the official Race Dri Fit shirt (or you can pick up on race day at the Vinings Jubilee). After July 15th, phantom runners will receive the 100% cotton race shirt. Fees are $30.

NO SHOW NO SHIRT
Cotton shirts or hats will be given out to 5K and 1 Kilometer finishers that registered after July 15th while they last at the after race party. No refunds or shirts for "no shows."
T-shirts will be dispensed post race at the Vinings Jubilee for both the 5K and 1K. Participants must present race number to receive t-shirt.
From I-285, take exit 18 and follow Paces Ferry Road down the hill inside
I-285 about 1/2 mile to the OVERLOOK sign on the left. Follow the signs for the race
parking up the hill. Parking will be at the Overlook I & III buildings. Race Day registration and race

For the safety of all participants, pets and strollers are encouraged to participate in the 1 Kilometer.
Strollers & pet owners with leashes must start in 2nd wave.
